MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), induces collagen and elastin production by employing the body’s natural mechanisms. There is no scar formation and the procedure can be safely repeated until the desired effect is achieved. We use the InnoPen which we have found to be the safest and most effective microneedling device, leaving your skin looking younger, tighter, firmer, and healthier.

Microneedling can be used to treat the following:

During treatment a trained Skin Care Professional will use the InnoPen device to make tiny needle punctures through the skin using a stamping motion. The skin will respond to these micro injuries by instructing growth factors to repair the skin through the production of new collagen and elastin. Since the InnoPen uses a perfect stamp-like motion it prevents skin tearing, making it one of the safest devices available.

The InnoPen creates micro channels in the skin which allow for deeper penetration of skin care products for optimal benefits. We can pair your microneedling treatment with a customized Environ DF Facial, which uses both Pulsed Iontophoresis and Low Frequency Sonophoresis, to maximize the product penetration up to 10,000 times better than topical application alone.

What to Expect:

Although it is a minimally invasive procedure, a numbing cream is applied to alleviate any potential pain or discomfort. There will be little to no downtime and any reddening of the skin can be concealed the next day with make-up.

This is only a guide as each individual will react differently depending on the skin’s response to the treatment and the intensity of the treatment.

Day 1: Redness and tightness. Slight swelling is normal.
Day 2: Slight redness and dryness.
Day 3: Skin colour starts to go back to normal but skin may still feel dry.
Day 4: Skin may flake but feels comfortable.
Day 5-7: Skin may continue to flake but returns back to normal by day 7.

What We Recommend:

Starting with a consultation is the best way to communicate with your skin care professional your specific skin concerns and what you hope to achieve. To make good quality collagen and elastin there must be adequate Vitamin A and Vitamin C in the skin. We highly recommend using an Environ moisturizer for at least 3 weeks before any needling treatments. Using Environ products at home will result in up to 3X as much collagen production. Consider a course of 4-6 needling treatments and follow the recommended Environ skincare routine at home before and after treatment. You must avoid direct sunlight until your skin has healed and we recommend always using a sunscreen.
